John Robert Powers joins the
 Last Weekend In September The Girl Scouts 5k and 1-mile Run/Walk for a New Day raises awareness of the importance of a balanced, healthy lifestyle for girls and the adults in their lives."A New Day" represents taking the first step toward making positive changes. This includes your emotional, physical, and spiritual well being.
Self-esteem, body image, depression, eating disorders, nutrition, and personal power are a few of the topics featured in the Health Expo immediately following the run/walk.
**Proceeds from this event will fund future relevant programs that are all part of the Girl Scouts' Healthy Girls, Healthy Lives Initiative.

* To support military recruiting efforts.

Annual Golden Hanger Fashion Awards Gala
Every year during the fall, Fashion Careers College presents its Annual Golden Hanger Fashion Awards to San Diego’s fashion community. Started in 1986 the gala awards local fashion leaders, recognizes the amazing talents of FCC students and raises money for Make A Wish Foundation. An impressive silent auction adorns the foyer as guests are treated to a night of luxury and fashion. For more information or ticket purchases call (619) 275-4700.
